The food is great and the staff are so friendly and also really sweet to our toddler. They go out of their way to provide fantastic service which is so refreshing for the area where good service is often lacking. We had tried Lunas next door several times and were always disappointed by the overpriced pretentiousness and icy, unfriendly staff, who always seemed annoyed that we had a pram with us. The Bungalow has a great, relaxed vibe and the menu has lots of variety. Highly recommend!Posted on Pilar MurilloTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This place is easy to overlook because of its location, but it's not your typical Inner west cafe experience. The interior it smartly decorated. Grab a booth, and you won't have fellow dinners on top of you. Chilled water is provided and you drink it out of a really nice glass, not plastic. Food is carefully prepared and presented. I've gone there twice. Once for their New Year's Eve fixed menu and also for lunch. Both felt like an elevated dinning experience.Posted on Veronica WilliamsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fabulous night out. Food, decor and service were all impeccable and our kids enjoyed it just as much as we did. We had the antipasto platter, crispy sushi rice, lamb skewers, steak and chicken biryani. Dessert was even better - chocolate mousse and tiramisu to die for. Glad to have found a new local to frequent!Posted on Velix SanderTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The atmosphere is nice, calm and the service is also very good. The steak is very delicious, it goes well with the mushroom saucePosted on Greg OwenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Maybe it was just when we visited as we were the only ones in there all night, but the food was very average for dinner. Definitely not value for money. Duck spring rolls were mainly pastry, plum sauce was nice. Chicken wings for $28 were okay, nothing special. The lamb skewers $28 had tiny bits of lamb no more than a 1cm square, see photo, a large portion of dip and 4 triangles of bread. Lamb tasted of nothing. The steak for $46 is deemed a “large” plate but was 8 small slices of steak and some fries on the side. Mushroom sauce straight from the microwave and gungy on the side. Didn’t take a pic as we had given up by then. Tiramisu for $19 was dry, yep dry. The sponge had hardly been soaked. Overall, totally not worth it for dinner. Pubs down the road serve better and at half the price. Shame really as we were looking for a new restaurant as we live locally.
